The Vestry met three times during the month of May. One of the meetings was our regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The other two meetings were with Rev. Lou Blanchard and the Leadership team of St. Tim’s for the purpose of discerning images, visions, and goals of St. Tim’s. Our first goal was to compose a list of thoughts about where we are today, and what we want to be in the future. We then discussed our Core Values: the things about St. Tim’s that make it so special to us. Finally, we talked about our Challenges for the future. When we finished, we had a list of 20 images and visions, 20 core values, and 3-4 Challenges to be worked on in the coming months. The second meeting was to concentrate on the challenges we face and our future directions in meeting these challenges. These meetings have really helped the Vestry and Staff refocus our thoughts and energy towards the future of St. Tim’s. We have a lot of great ideas, but we need your help.
As Father Michael mentioned one Sunday, all members of the parish need to think about their contributions toward our mission statement and to consider new areas where each person can add to the mission. If you have any feedback, please feel free to speak to any member of the Leadership Team and/or the Vestry. We welcome any and all suggestions.
St. Timothy’s embraces all people with the love of Jesus through joyful worship rooted in tradition, ministries for all generations and reaching out to those in need.
