Music has long been a large part of St. Timothy’s identity. Every service has organ preludes, postludes and hymn accompaniment. The choir sings at the second service on Sundays; festival services frequently include brass and/or string ensembles. Other ensembles and hand bells intersperse various styles of music. Worship services at St. Timothy’s are traditional in nature with a liturgical focus.
Alternative Worship Services, Youth Sundays and music at retreats and workshops offer diverse styles of worship. A mixture exists of contemporary and traditional, Anglican, American and Ethnic origins.
These styles support our purpose statement:
St. Timothy’s embraces all people with the love of Jesus through joyful worship rooted in tradition, ministries for all generations and reaching out to those in need.
You are invited to join the Choir. Expert instruction and great comradeship will be provided and no previous experience is necessary. Rehearsals are downstairs off the parish hall on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM.
