A Word From Mother Kim:

Dear Friends,

Greeting people after worship recently has been a special delight, seeing so many enjoy the harvest from St. Timothy’s Garden. Bunches of basil, fresh cut flowers, tomatoes and vegetables of all kinds have been carried out to be shared. Some tell stories of delivering to next door neighbors and loved ones, while others planned a home-cooked meal to nourish friends and family. I remember the early summer hailstorms that made a challenging start, the persistence and repeat plantings to have any garden at all. But with God's gifts of seeds, soil and sunshine, and our faithful gardeners tending, their co-laboring together produced an abundant harvest.

Every October, St. Timothy's celebrates and focuses on our commitment to stewardship. Stewardship is the Christian affirmation that all we have and all we are, comes from God. Our time, talent and treasure are gifts from our Creator, and I've experienced the most fulfillment when seeking God's direction on how to use these resources. To that end, we make time during worship to share how we are experiencing God in our individual lives and faith community. We also invite each household to consider their financial support of God's work in and through St. Timothy's in the coming year.

I invite you to join me in making a pledge to St. Timothy's for 2024. A pledge is an estimated financial gift for the year, which helps the vestry be good stewards of the parish budget. This year, pledges ranged from $300 to over $30,000, each household giving as they feel called. Over 90% of revenue comes from members, so every gift matters in furthering our mission to "embrace all people with the love of Jesus."

With Gratitude,

Rev. Kim Seidman

Rector

  • A pledge to St. Tim’s represents one of the many ways people support the work and ministry of this parish. A pledge in particular represents a Christian commitment to work, pray, and give for the benefit of the local church. Your pledge is not binding, rather a good faith estimate of what you are able to give for the year. This allows our vestry to plan our budget for the upcoming year.

  • With over 20 active ministries, your pledge creates opportunities for people to connect, grow, learn, and serve. Additionally, St. Tim’s has a number of thriving community partnerships which support the most vulnerable within our community. This doesn’t happen with out people, space, budgets, and wise stewardship. In short, it’s because of the faithful prayers and generous gifts of people like you that St. Tim’s continues to cultivate the soul for a bright future.

  • Giving to St. Tim’s is always a matter of Christian conscious and treated with the utmost confidentiality. Each year we receive a wide range of pledges from 10 dollars per week to well over a $1,000 per month. This year we received pledges from 112 different households which came to just over $530,000. If you are considering making a pledge for the first time, or increasing an existing pledge, we ask that you prayerfully consider an amount that feels right and joyful to you.

  • In any way that feels best to you! While most give weekly or monthly online, others prefer cash or check, and still others make a gift through IRA Charitable rollovers. While we encourage people to give online through Realm, we are happy to assist you to give in anyway that feels comfortable to you. If you are interested in giving online, you can complete you pledge at this link or watch the video below. If you’d like help, please email patrick@sttims.net.
