FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • While annual operating budgets plan for routine maintenance needs, major projects like replacing a parking lot and adding a bathroom are beyond regular expenses. A capital campaign is dedicated to those occasional and significant facility improvements that are maintained through the annual budget.

  • No. The vestry is committed to these improvements as gifts are received and will not seek a loan. Specific projects are planned in five distinct phases. In recent years, parishioners retired the debt for the original building purchase as well as replaced an organ. When members join their efforts, St. Tim's moves mountains.

  • The campaign will last from summer of 2024 to summer of 2026. This will allow parishioners two calendar years to support these important projects.

  • Two major designated gifts and 87 pledges given so far allowed us to successfully complete phases 1-3. We are beginning a second round of capital campaign conversations after Easter to invite new member households to consider pledging so that we can continue momentum and complete the downstairs without assuming any debt.

  • We are busy solidifying bids and estimates for the remaining work but currently understand the work to cost approximately $500,000.

  • There are a variety of ways to support this campaign, and every gift matters. We ask you to pray first and seek God's invitation. What are you being called to give in support of this vision? Maybe a monthly amount? Or a total amount given over the remaining year of the campaign? The right amount will be a glad and generous offering that also feels significant to your specific financial position.
